Our school has issues. I don't think we have heating or air conditioning, and there is all this mold growing on the ceiling. And usually, we're ok with it. I mean, it's not the best school, but we can normally adapt to it.
Then came 90 degree weather. Everywhere from the ground floor and up is hot and stuffy. My teachers made me evacuate from my art and math rooms because it was just far too hot. I think someone would have passed out if we had stayed. The only place that was (slightly) cold was the basement. Unfortunately, it's rather hard to navigate in the basement, and there aren't that many classrooms down there either. But as I was walking with Helen, trying to escape from the heat, I came upon a space on Main St. (between Blue and Green) which was mildly cool.
Instead of hot spots, we have cold spots.

I heard that at Newton South they were dismissed early because the air conditioner stopped working. Those weaklings....

Whats this I hear about a $197.5 million school project?
Even Lexington here wouldn't do that. If they would, they would have done it already. After all, aside from a small renovation a couple of years ago, each building is quite old. None of the buildings have AC, and unlike you peoples who only have one building, we have the pleasure of 4 buildings and the need to walk between them.
(It's still better than your one-building four-floor thing.)

Yeah, the price is kind of crazy, Tkalmighty. Though our building really is awful (no windows, 'univents' that blow up periodically, etc.) the new building is excessive. Welcome to the blog! How'd you find us?
